Acupuncture

Acupuncture and Oriental medicine seeks to control and alter the flow of life energy called Qi (pronounced “chi,”) as it travels the body in twelve distinct path way called meridian. Stress, trauma, injury, toxins and unhealthy habits disrupt the flow and balance of this this essential life energy, causing illness and pain. Acupuncture normalize the dysfunction cause by imbalance of qi and blood flow, bringing balance to our body, greatly facilitating healing and wellness, while eliminating pain. Modern Acupuncture research shows that Acupuncture stimulates the release of adenosine (the body’s natural painkiller), reduces inflammation, and improves oxygen flow and tissue function at the needle site. Neuroimaging studies have also shown that acupuncture can increase the number of receptors for pain-reducing neurotransmitters.

Acupuncture has no side effects. The World of Health Organization (WHO) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) acknowledge the benefits of acupuncture in treating and eliminating wide range of problems in our body.
